Dodd Engineering (North West) limited has recently The contract specification included structural steel repairs and the replacement of handrails for a site located at Ellers Road Doncaster West Yorkshire. The repairs and installation were part of Bridge 55 which has a thirteen span viaduct over the East Coast Main Line. Also Bridge 54 with a three span viaduct over the Doncaster Lincoln Main Line. Dodd Engineering working closely with Norwest Holst designers manufactured new handrail stanchions, and infill panels to replace the badly corroded lattice type handrail. New repair plates were manufactured for cross beams and rail bearers. The bridges are located in a nature reserve and as such the installation had to ensure that there was no significant environmental impact on the surrounding area which would affect the flora and fauna.
